Tomorrow When the War Began
Tomorrow When the War Began is the begging of an amazing and shocking journey that a group of teenage students have to endure. After they return from a short camping trip in the bushes up the river they realise they have came back to hell. Realising that there old lives are gone they have to hide out. The plot of the story is an invading country takes over Australia. Starting with Cobblers Bay they roll in their tanks and march in there soldiers all over the country side. Ellie and her band of friends decide they aren't just going to sit there and hide under a rock until this all blows over, they decide to be active and become guerrillas. I really like this book for a lot of reasons, for starters is Australian so I understand the strange language they use and also I like the idea of kids not taking adults to think of them as babies. That is the reason I like books about child spies and kids who take charge. I strongly recommend this book to strong readers like you (ms. Patrice) because it has a really good plot line and has seat edging suspense.

Flight 29 Down
This book based on a hit television series in 2007 is a great book. I started reading because I saw it at the shops and remembered I had seen the show once. I decided to read it as a quick fun read. After I started it I couldn't put it down. When I finished the book I realised that there are 6 more but I cannot find any of them. I began watching the TV show one Friday afternoon and it took me into their world. Their world is a bunch of kids and an adult crash on a deserted island somewhere in the pacific (supposably near Guam). They need to survive and wait for rescue while the pilot and three of the children go inland to try to find civilization. They have little food and water and they argue about everything. Each person keeps a video diary to tell their side of the story. After the competition between the two wannabe leaders (Nathan and Daley) die down they found an underground spring. That sparked hope and they began to build their lives there. They build shelter, find food, make fire and much more. I think that they are very clever especially the little genius called lex. I love this book and it is a great short read.

Scorpia Rising- Anthony Horowitz
Well I finally finished the Alex Rider series and all I have to say is wow. The series has inspired me to become a great reader and because of Horowitz I am now a read-a-holic. I started Alex Rider series a long time ago before we came to Vietnam but it was way to hard for me because I was a terrible reader. From the start of the academic year I have read all 9nine and now have finished. Scorpia Rising was very well written and probably one of my favourite ones of the whole series. It was written in two parts, from Scorpias view and from Alex's view. I was breath taken when there are changes that effect the way I see the whole series and how I will see certain people. Very important people die and never comeback even though I was in doubt that they died initially. If I ever read any of the other Alex Rider books I will not read them like I originally did because I know the secrets behind people. Alex Rider is lured into a trap by a new Scorpia member who intentionally wants to mentally torture him before blaming him, a British spy, for the assassination of the Head of State in Egypt, ruining the American-British alliance. After Alex re-meets with his genetically cloned twin, Julius Grief, Alex lost all sense of pity and killed many people in cold blood. Alex is described by Sabina's dad as having death in his eyes and the need to kill. I think that Scorpia Rising has to be one of the best books I have ever read and I am devastated to see the end.

Scorpia
He died....At the end of this fantastic book he dided, ashame i know that he cant die because there are more books but then agan... how can he die? This awesome book called SCORPIA is part of a series called Alex Rider written by Anthony Horowaitz. Anthony Horowitz is an amazing author and easily got be hooked to his series after the third book. The series is about a 14 year old boy that is sucked into the world of guns, gadgets and spies. He gets recruited by the Secret Agency called MI6, the british CIA. His uncle who had lived with him and died recently had also worked for them and was a fenomanal agent. Again Alex had mannaged to get tanggled in a mess with one of the most dangerous terrorist group in the world and joined them, just like his father. SCORPIA was a group of restless murderers and masterminds who assasinated targets for large amounts of money. There most recent request was to foil the treaty between America and England. Alex is thrown into the middle of a nation wide crisis where thousands of childrens lives are at risk. SCORPIA is a great book and one of the best out of the Alex Rider series. I strongly advise that everyone should read this.

Devine Madness
1. What made you choose this book in the first place?
I have read the first 4 books of the CHERUB series and really loved them so when i saw this at the bookstore i picked it right up.
2. How did you like the novel? Was it too long or too short?
The book was a great read and the perfect length i was looking for, around 400 pages is perfect for me because its not too short too read in an hour but not too long that u start to get bored with it. It wasn a really intresting book and i want to read the next ones.
3. If you could meet one person in the novel who would it be and why?
If i had to meet one charecter it would probably be james because he is really cool and good a jodo. His also funny and has a great sense of humor.
4. What was the funniest part in the book?
The funniest part in the book was when James climbed down into the sewer to escape the ark and swore to quite Cherub when he was out of there, and then one of the maintence men helped him and asked why didn't he swich on the light and the drainage pipe instead of wading through knee deep sewage in pitch black.
5. Would you ever read it again?
I have already read it twice because it's soo good and would hapily read it a third time.
6. Why do you like the CHERUB series so much?
I really like the cherub series because tehy are fun to read and i found out that it sucks you into the stroyline. For example, when i was reading the really sad part in the book i felt really bad like i wanted to sleep my life away and i was really depressed for no reason, but when the happy parts come i get really excited and adrenaline rushes through my body so i can't put it down.
